TouchChat update 1.3.0 has been released
Posted Jan 4, 2013 - 3:17pm
A new TouchChat update 1.3.0 has been released. Some of the updates made include:
Two additional Multichat 15 vocabulary files have been added- An Adolescent and an Adult file.
WordPower and MultiChat files are grouped.
Acapela is set as the default synthesizer in this version.
Because of the many new voice options becoming available we have made voices downloadable. This will save a lot of space on the app by only downloading the voices needed. To download voices, choose Settings>Voice and choose the voice to download.
Note: Some of the new voices are only available at a cost (including UK kids' voice). These voices must be purchased from the Upgrade Store before they are available in the Voice listing.
Icons can now be displayed in the speech display bar. To enable this feature, change the speech display bar setting "Show Icons" to Yes. Note that icons displayed on the iPad are slightly larger than on the iPhone® / iPod®.
There is a Global setting for showing symbols on buttons.
The hide button icons on/off setting has been added to the button area of settings. Note that hiding the button icons will also cause the show icons in text bar setting to be forced off.
Most user interface images have been upgraded for the Retina® display of the iPad® 3.
The new item "No Action" has been added to the Speech Display Bar tap action list. This setting causes the SDB to not respond to a tap but still respond to tap and hold.
A gap has been added to the active area of SDB between the delete button (a.k.a. X button) and the tappable area. This is intended to give separation between these two items and help prevent accidentally touching the wrong area.
In previous versions, the "copying text to a button" function would copy the entire text to the message but only the first 3 words to the label. This 3-word limit has been removed so that the entire text is copied to both places.
A "help" item has been added to the menu on the vocabulary selection screen.
