Custom Page Generation

Users can now create custom vocabulary pages by building a word list in one place—either manually or with optional AI assistance.

What you can do:

• • Create a new page and enter your own words or phrases
  • Generate word lists by topic (AI‑assisted, if enabled)
  • Choose how many words to generate based on available buttons
  • Add, remove, or edit words before finalizing the page
  • Automatically fill empty buttons on the page
  • Start from a template page when available, or fall back to a blank page

Smart handling of duplicates:

• • The app identifies words that already exist in the vocabulary
  • Duplicate words are shown clearly and can still be added if desired

Symbols made easy:

• • Symbols are automatically suggested
  • Users can change symbols before finishing the page
  • Multiple options are supported (symbol search, camera, photo library, AI image generation if enabled)

This feature is designed to make personalized page creation faster and less overwhelming, especially for caregivers and clinicians.

Voice & Speech Enhancements

• If the Acapela voice limit is reached:
  • All available voices are still shown
  • A clear message explains how to replace an existing voice
  • Sample playback remains available
• This makes voice management more transparent and user‑friendly.

• Files will not be backwards compatible – if you are transferring files between devices, please ensure they are all running the newest update.

Bugs

Features

• AI Features: We are very excited to offer features that will use AI to support our customer's communication in different ways. All the features will run on the device without Wi-Fi. We will have three features in this release:
  • AI Message Edit: Corrects grammar and spelling errors
  • AI Translate: Translates the SDB into any language supported by an Apple voice
  • AI Image Generation: Creates a new image based on your prompt(s)
  • Note: AI features are only available on iOS devices running OS 26 and are Apple Intelligence compatible. Learn more here.

• Dialect support: Provides the user with more region-specific vocabulary options (e.g, English, United Kingdom) during the onboarding menu and in the library menu. The files that will have region-specific options are:
• LAMP WFL Full (English US, UK, AU, CA)
• WordPower 60 Basic (English US, UK, AU, CA)

• Code Switching: Allows the user to speak in multiple languages and the speech display bar (SDB) will speak both languages properly. We expect a slight pause between languages.

• Third party scanning compatibility: Allows switches outside of the AeroSwitch and Via switch ports to use our in-app scanning. This will be helpful for schools or facilities that use iOS devices for emerging scanners and want to use their current equipment (e.g., Blue2) with our simplified in-app scanning.
