Add A Gesture

Gestures cannot be tested on the Chat Editor software but will work on the devices once the files have been copied to the device.

To add gestures at the page level:

1. Click Edit Mode
2. Click on Edit Page at the top
3. Click on the “Gestures” tab
4. Choose Add
5. Choose appropriate gesture and OK
6. Give the gesture a name in the label text box
7. If you intend for your gesture to initiate speech, add a message
8. Choose the Action that you want the gesture to perform from the drop down menu and choose Add

To add gestures at the vocab level:

1. Click Edit Mode
2. Click on Edit Vocab at the top
3. Choose Add
4. Choose the appropriate gesture and OK
5. Give the gesture a name in the label text box
6. If you intend for your gesture to initiate speech, add a message
7. Choose the Action that you want the gesture to perform from the drop down menu
8. Choose Add and OK

Transfer the vocabulary file to the TouchChat device to test your gestures.
